Warren Randolph Ronning

Warren Randolph (Randy) Ronning age 72 of Prior Lake, MN passed away from cancer on August 3, 2023 at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Mpls, MN.

Randy Ronning was born February 8, 1951 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Elizabeth (Betty) Ronning. He was raised on a farm a few miles east of Audubon, MN. He attended school in Audubon. He was involved in sports such as football, weightlifting, and more. Following high school Randy served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany. Following his discharge from the Army, Randy attended Bemidji State University, where he earned a degree in business. He then moved to Traverse City, Michigan, where he worked for Amoco Oil Co. He would later move back to the farm to spend time with his mother before she passed. He then moved to Prior Lake, MN, where he worked for Scott County. Randy was a dedicated employee, who would work a seven-day work week.

Randy was a people person. He had many friends, was very generous, and loved to help people. Randy was staunch in his beliefs. He had a very kind heart and was liked by all who knew him. He will be missed by many. Some of his favorite things to do included telling riddles, storytelling, and being a trickster. He also enjoyed walking in nature and riding his motorcycle.

He is survived by his brothers, Greg of Audubon; Jeff, of Detroit Lakes; and his sister, Lori (Mike) Lewis, of Detroit Lakes; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his twin brother, Wendolyn who passed after birth.

Memorial Services will be on Monday September 11, 2023; 11:00 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church, Audubon, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the Church. Interment will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Audubon, MN.
